Getting Paid To Smoke Weed Sounds Like A Dream Job

American Russ Hudson is a cannabis consultant that is said to be taking advantage of Spain’s tolerance to pot in order to get paid to smoke weed.

It’s reported that around 300 quasi-legal “smoking clubs” can be found located all around Spain.

The country’s laws regarding cannabis are somewhat odd. You’re permitted to operate cannabis shops or clubs and allow members to join and purchase small amounts of weed, but the cultivation and transportation of pot are prohibited. Which is similar to the way laws are enforced in the U.K. regarding cannabis.

So, you know, the weed supply just falls from the sky and lands in the hands of the shop operators. Ahem.

Hudson says he had heard about Spain’s loose laws that permitted cannabis clubs. After paying a visit to his first club, he says that he realized that he had “inadvertently moved to what would be a personal and professional heaven.”

It was the country’s “liberal” laws regarding weed that was the deciding factor for Hudson and his wife in terms of why they chose to relocate to Spain. He says he felt he could “safely use” there without “fear of repercussion.”

A typical day in the life of Hudson starts with a bit of work at home in the morning, followed by a visit to one of the country’s many pot clubs.

The mission? To buy a strain, smoke it, and then post a review of the weed on his website.

That sounds like really rough work, right?

Hudson gives each sample of weed a five-point appraisal:

  • Look and texture
  • Smell and flavor
  • Potency
  • Buzz location (e.g. Head high or body high)
  • Duration of the buzz

The paid pot tester says that “Super Lemon Haze” is his go-to strain when he’s not testing weed from the cannabis clubs.

Oh, what a life. And we thought we had pretty cool jobs around here. You know what they say, “The grass is always greener.” 😉
